Laurea University of Applied Sciences’ Student Union, Laureamko, is nominating Jonas Sarkameri as a member of the board of the Finnish Student Sports Federation for 2027.
OLL, or the Finnish Student Sports Federation, is a national organisation that advocates for and provides services relating to student and higher education sports. OLL promotes a culture of physical activity and wellbeing so that students have equal opportunities to engage in sufficient physical activity for their health.
In 2025, Sarkameri served on the Laureamko board, where he was responsible for social policy and sport. He currently serves on the student union’s representative council. He is committed to promoting accessible, everyday physical activity for students:
“Not everyone needs to be a top-level athlete; there are so many sports that everyone is sure to find something they enjoy. The best exercise is the one you actually do,” says Sarkameri.
The General Assembly of the Finnish Student Sports Federation will be held on 4–5 November 2026.
