Emilia Mannersalo, a graduate in social services and a Bachelor of Cultural Studies, has been appointed as the new Community Specialist for the Laurea University of Applied Sciences Students’ Union. Mannersalo has held a variety of roles in guidance and education, as well as positions of trust within various organisations.

“Emilia has already brought a warm energy to Laurea University of Applied Sciences! I’m really looking forward to seeing everything she’ll be able to develop and achieve in this role,” says Iiris Aunio, Vice-Chair of the Board.

“I think it’s brilliant to be able to work with students at Laureamko and to develop the activities within my own areas of responsibility! I’m particularly looking forward to getting to know the tutors and campus team members, as well as the members of the Laureamko Board, and to starting our collaboration,” says Emilia Mannersalo.

“We’re thrilled that Emilia has joined the Laureamko team so quickly. In particular, we’re looking forward to seeing how her wide-ranging experience in organisations, combined with her educational background, will shape Laureamko’s voluntary work in the future,” says Executive Director Lindgren.

Former Community Specialist Annika Sievinen has moved to the role of Executive Director at METKA, the student union of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Mannersalo began her role as Community Specialist at Laureamko this week.
