We have received good numbers of applicants in previous calls, but there are still workplace steering groups for degrees that need a student voice to improve them!
If you have at least one of these skills or motives, you could be just the student representative we are looking for:
- You are well networked
- You want to influence the content of your studies
- You dare to raise issues that concern students
- You would like to have more contacts in the world of work.
What is the role of a student representative on the Steering Group for the Degree Programme?
There are two (2) student representatives on each of the Degree Working Life Steering Groups, with each student serving as an equal member of the Steering Group. The Steering Group meets four (4) times a year. The purpose of the student representative is to bring a student perspective to the issues discussed in the Steering Group. In addition to the student representative, the steering group for the degree in question includes both Laurea staff from the degree in question and representatives from the world of work.
The group aims to develop Laurea’s degrees to better meet the demands of working life, which also requires students’ perspectives on the current situation and future expectations.
