[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Are you interested in student wellbeing? Are you an exhilarating community developer? Have you pondered how the Student Union could serve our students better? Does your heart beat to the rhythm of student advocacy work? If you answered yes to even one of these questions, you might be the person we are looking for.
The everyday work that the Student Union does is governed by the board that is elected by the council of representatives. The board operates within the limits of the plan of action that is approved by the council. The board consists of the president, the vice president and from three (3) to eight (8) board members in total. The board forms both the advocacy and service teams.
“A year is actually quite a short time but it is filled with a lot of things. It is wonderful to acknowledge your own growth and also the fact how much further we have travelled as a Student Union. I could recommend working in the board to everyone, who feels the power of advocacy work within them and also the desire to develop both themselves and the Student Union”, states the president of the board Juho Kärkkäinen.
“Working in the board is a place to network and also a possibility to create excellent contacts for the future. This year I have created an interest for quality assurance and the best part is that you get study credits for this work”, says the member of the board Anni Suvisuo.
If this got your attention, tell it to the president of the board Juho Kärkkäinen ([email protected]) on November 22nd 2016 by 3 pm the latest. Tell also whether you are interested in working either in the advocacy or the service team. Please notice that the introduction days for the new board will take place on 7.12. and 12.-15.12. There’s also a training for the new board on 5.1.2017.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]The council of representatives appoints the board for 2017 in its general assembly on November 22nd 2016.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
