The application period is open from January 27 to February 9. In this recruitment, we are looking for tutors for groups starting in autumn 2025. Training will take place in spring 2025.As a tutor, you will help new students get started with their studies.
Tutors play an important role in welcoming new students, answering questions, and guiding them with basic matters related to starting school. There’s no need to stress about your own expertise—initial questions are usually very simple for experienced students. You’ll also receive all the necessary training beforehand, so you don’t need to know everything in advance.
Being a tutor benefits you as well. You’ll have the chance to meet other students from your campus, tutors from other campuses, various active members of the student community, and, of course, the new group of students you’ll be tutoring. You’ll gain experience in areas such as event planning, communication, and group facilitation.
Anyone can apply to become a tutor, regardless of their field or study mode. Incoming students are a diverse group of individuals of different ages and life situations. For this reason, it’s great if tutors represent a variety of student experiences as well. To be eligible, you must have a valid Laureamko membership. You can also earn 5 studycredits for tutoring through a portfolio process. More information about applying for credits can be found here.
