The chairpersons and board members of Laureamko’s 2026 representative council have been elected!

Laureamko’s 2026 Representative Council’s organizational meeting was held on November 20 at the Leppävaara campus. At the meeting, the composition of the Representative Council was confirmed and the rules of procedure were approved. In addition, the chairpersons of the Representative Council and Laureamko’s board for 2026 were elected.

Sanni Aho (Tikkurila, nurse), who served on the 2025 board, was elected chair of the Representative Council, and Hanna Oskarsson (Otaniemi, physiotherapist), who served as chair of the Laureamko board during the past year, was elected vice-chair. The term of office of the Representative Council is January 1 to December 31, 2025.

Reece Tunkkari (social worker, Tikkurila) was elected as chair of the board and Iiris Aunio (social worker, online campus) as vice-chair. Tunkkari and Aunio have both served on the student union board during the past year.
“I would like to thank the Representative Council for their trust and I look forward to representing Laureamko next year. I am delighted to be able to work with the new Board and promote the interests of international students, for example,” says Tunkkari.

Five members were elected to the 2026 board: Roosa Lastunen (Lohja, Bachelor of Business Administration), Anne Tamminen (Hyvinkää, social worker), Milena Eklund (Tikkurila, Estenomi), Tytti Halttu (Leppävaara, business administration), and Johanna Heikkinen (Leppävaara, business administration). The board’s term of office is from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

The new board has begun familiarizing itself with its duties and will be presented in more detail in our communications during the early part of the year. Congratulations to all those elected!
