The most important and biggest party of the student year is here again! At last, it’s time to dig out the overalls and get ready to celebrate Wappu with Laureamko. There will be plenty of fun event’s for every taste.
Was it the last time you felt like Wappu ended too soon? Don’t worry, this year Laureamko will celebrate wappu over two weeks straight! Check out the event offer and come and celebrate the student party of your life together with Laureamko and other students.
Psst! This year, Laureamko has hot four partners to celebrate Wappu, so it’s worth checking out the event section carefully!
Laureamko’s Wappu in a nutshell:
May Day is said to be a significant celebration for students, and anticipation is always good. For students, the May Day celebration starts well in advance in April and doesn’t end until May 1.
It is a tradition to go around several events during Wappu and collect stamps as proof of participation.
By completing a certain number of events, you will receive an official Laureamko badge, depending on how many years the participant has completed.
Laureamko’s Wappupass instructions
– Wappupass can be purchased from Kide.app.
– Member and non-member versions of the pass are on sale.
– You can pick up your Wappupass from Laureamko’s campus offices (Leppävaara, Tikkurila, Otaniemi, Porvoo & Hyvinkää) on 25th March. Forward and from Laureamko wappu events for an unused Kide.app ticket.
– You can get a stamp for all the Wappu events of HUMAKO, O’Diako, Helga, Laureamko and METKA in your Wappupass.
– You get one stamp in your Wappupass from the event.
– The Wappupass is stamped at events during the ticket inspection.
– If you participate in two events during the same day, you have the right to get stamps from both of the events.
– Getting a Wappupass does not guarantee a ticket to Wappu events.
– With the Laureamko’s Wappupass, you can get tickets at a cheaper price from Laureamko’s Wappu events.
– By collecting five (5) stamps you get a special Wappu badge and by collecting twelve (12) stamps you get a special Wappu diploma badge!
– The badge can be redeemed on May Day (May 1st) at the Laureamko tent in Kaivarin Wappu event.
– If you’ve lost your Wappupass or you have not received a stamp from the event for an unknown reason, you must be in contact with the student union in question.
– Basically, a lost Wappupass will not be replaced, so keep it safe during Wappu’s excursions <3
– You can also participate in Wappu events without a pass, Laureamko’s Wappu is aimed at all Laurea students <3
Wappupass user manual in a nutshell:
1. Check out the event offer and buy your tickets on Kide.App
2. Take your Wappupassi with you to every event
3. In the event (incl. Metka’s, Helga’s, O’Diako’s and HUMAKO’s Wappu events) you will get ONE (1) stamp in your Wappupassi
4. Collect five (5) stamps in your passport and earn your annual achievement badge
5. Redeem your overall badge against your Wappupass at Kaivarin Wappu (1.5.) Kaivopuisto from Laureamko tent

Although Wapu is buzzing and bustling, remember to keep your Wappupassi SAFE and ALWAYS WITH you when you arrive at the event!

INSTRUCTIONS
Visit at least five (5) events. Get stamps from the events to this pass and return the pass to Laureamko’s tent at Kaivarin vappu. Those who get at least five stamps will get a magnificent Wappu overall patch coverall brand, which is determined by the year of performance.
For even more dedicated Wappu celebrators, we offer a Wappu diploma overall badge if you complete twelve (12) events and collect the stamps as proof.
You can also collect stamps from the events of other student unions! This means you can get a stamp to this pass also from the Wappu events of HUMAKO, O’Diako, Helga and METKA
You can choose the events that interest you most and select e.g. free events.
By purchasing a Laureamko’s Wappupass, you will be entitled to member-priced tickets only for Laureamko’s and HUMAKO’s Wappu events. However, you can buy a regular-priced ticket to METKA’s, Helga’s and O’Diako’s Wappu events and earn a stamp on your pass from them.
When you buy a Laureamko Wappupass, you can only pick it up at Laureamko Wappu events or at Laureamko’s campus offices.

1. Lenni's Candy Day
Lenni´s candy day is back again!
In Lenni’s candy day you will prepare different Wappu treats in your own kitchen, following a virtual recipe map and recipe book. Each taskpoint can also be completed in alternative ways, which are listed in the recipe book! So if you’re not in the mood for making something specific, you can concentrate on the beautiful presentation or on the May Day atmosphere of the dish, for example.
So what exactly are you doing on Lenni’s candy day:
1. Make a variety of treats from Lenni’s recipe book, with yourself or with others
2. Take pictures of the finished creations
3. Return the photos to the Seppo game’s platform
4. You can get the overall patch from other Wappu events or by mailing
You can make the Wappu treats between 6th of April and 1st of May. Remember to take photos of your creations! You need to make at least two (2) recipes from each category (savory, sweet, beverages). Within the same time frame, you may also return your pictures to the Seppo game platform after making the treats.

2. Metsä Appro
Welcome to our Wappu check point round in nature—Metsä Appro is back on the Vappu program for the second time! Gather a team and head out to tackle the challenges in the great outdoors. There’s something for everyone, and it’s sure to be a fun, laid-back time with a great group. Come join us—see you at Metsä Appro!
What? A check point round in nature
Where? Säterinniitty, Espoo
Who? Anyone looking for fun and laid-back activities on Vappu!
How much does it cost? The event is free, and the first 250 registrants will receive a patch. You’ll get a stamp in your Wappupass if you participate in the event and visit the checkpoints, even if you didn’t manage to reserve a ticket.

3. Lare Ry Skumppajooga 2026
Lare Ry’s Skumppajooga has become a tradition in the past few years and in april it’s here again! This time with new moves! You can take part in the event live in Kaivopuisto Helsinki or remotely from the peace of your own living room.
Get your student overalls on, pack your Wappu refreshments and come join us in a fun and relaxing yoga session.

4. Detective Appro
Laureamko and HUMAKO are organizing an amazing Detective Appro together where participants solve a mystery by going through a series of task points and bars. The event is part of Laureamko’s wappu and it can be completed by doing only taskpoints.

5. Cars-sitz
The event is held in Finnish.
The Cars Sitsit is part of Laureamko’s Wappu 2026, so come sit, celebrate, and make this Wappu unforgettable!

Tickets: The sitsit ticket includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert, as well as an overall badge. Remember to bring your own drinks!
Doors open at 4:30 PM, and seating begins at 5:00 PM. Please arrive on time, as the party starts at 5:00 PM and latecomers will face penalties!
What on earth are sitz? Well:
Sitz are an academic table party where, led by the toastmasters running the event, we have fun, eat savory and sweet foods, drink, and sing together! Sitz parties often have a separate songbook, and you can also suggest songs from, for example, Laulumat. Sitz parties have their own rules, which are reviewed at the beginning, and if you break them, the toastmasters can impose some pretty unusual punishments!

6. Porvoo Wappupicnic
Wappupicnic at Jokiranta in Porvoo on Friday, April 17, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. At Wappupicnic, you can collect stamps for your Wappupicnic-pass by, for example, playing Mölkky, taking a Wappu photo, or sewing overalls patches. So bring a snack, something to drink, a blanket, and, if you like, some patches to sew on!
Wappupicnic is part of Laureamko’s Wappu.

7. Laureamko Leppävaara X Activate ITIS
Has Wappu already been full of events for you? Looking for a change from the usual bar crawl? Come and join an active event with the Leppävaara campus team!
Step into the world’s first active gaming space, where you can jump, climb, and solve fun challenges with your friends. Interactive technology reacts to your movements in real time, making each game room a unique adventure.
Students will enter the event area in three separate waves, ensuring everyone gets plenty of playtime. Expect movement, laughter, and adrenaline—you won’t want to miss this!

Players will participate in games in teams of 2–5 people. To ensure smooth gameplay, we recommend teams of 3–5 to avoid long queues.
Each player will have a wristband for checking into different game rooms and individual games. The wristband will be scanned before starting each game.
Individual games last approximately 20–120 seconds. Total playtime is 60 minutes.
Active staff and the Leppävaara campus team will be on-site to assist with wristbands and player profiles, making sure everyone can play smoothly.

8. Simasitz
Heissulivei and wabu ei lobu! Are you also itching to kick off the best time of the year: Student May Day?
Just as I thought! Now’s the time to dig out your overalls and start getting ready for the main event of May Day!
Once again this year, Jenkins ry and LATO ry are organizing the wildest Wappu sits! Throughout the evening, we’ll celebrate, sing, and get everyone in the Wappu spirit. So come celebrate with us!
The ticket includes admission, a three-course Wappu feast, and a Simasitsit overalls pin! Bringing your own drinks is allowed and encouraged at the sitsit, so those who get thirsty should come prepared!

9. Laureamko X Helga Coverall Baptism
Coverall Baptism is an event in which your coveralls are put to test, you’ll learn the official Coverall etiquette, pledge an coverall oath and raise a toast.
Get your coveralls on and get them officially ritualized through checkpoints and official coverall oath! Then you will receive the official Coverall Baptism patch that will serve you during the whole student life.
You can come to the baptism alone or with others! If you are bold and want to get to know new people, we bring together groups of one and two that can go around the checkpoints together. The baptisms are organised together with the Haaga-Helia student union Helga.
After the baptism, the evening continues at Apollo.
Note! The cloackroom fee is not included in the ticket price.

10. Wappuralli
On thursday 23.4. it’s time for Wappuralli!
Take a tour of Tikkurila’s restaurants and bars to collect stamps on your pass. The starting point is bar Shamrock. After completing your tour around Tikkurila, head towards Tulisuudelma for the afterparty, where you will receive a patch and the evening will continue until morning! You can also participate in the event fully alcohol-free!

11. HUMAKOs Wappu Bingo
The popular HUMAKO’s humanistic Wappubingo is back again! Gather up a group and come spend a nice evening wondering if the bingo will be yours.
Get ready for thrilling bingo vibes and awesome prizes, hosted by our cheerful bingo hosts. The bingo will take place in Helsinki.
Please arrive on time as the first bingo round starts at 17:30 pm! There will be two bingo rounds, and one event ticket allows you to participate in one round. The second round starts at about 18:45 pm. If you wish, you can purchase a ticket for both rounds. An overall patch is also included in the ticket price.
The event is part of HUMAKO´s Humanistiwappu and Laureamko’s Wappu. Participation will earn you a stamp in your Wappupass (also to other Wappupasses).

Do you need a little respite from the excitement? Come sip sima and paint with us!
Take a breather at a creative sanctuary designed for students who want to celebrate the season without the burnout. We’re swapping the loud parties for classical music and calm socialization. It’s the ultimate “halftime” for your brain before the grand finale on May Day. The theme for the event is nostalgia and childhood memories!

13. Humakonda hunt
The legendary Humakonda Hunt comes again!
Humakonda is missing… it´s like I can hear it hissing somewhere… surely it´s somewhere here around Helsinki!
Gather your brave hunter team! The event has tasks of different levels, which are performed in teams of 4–8 people. Creativity, humor and imagination are an advantage in carrying out tasks.
Teams only register and get their hunting pass on the spot, so you can also come without a team and look for hunting buddies at Kansalaistori in front of Oodi. There are two departures, at 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM. Great prizes and glory for the best hunters!
You get an overalls badge as a reward for hunting, so please remember to sew the previous year’s badges to the overalls to get a new performance level badge.

14. Amazing Race
It’s back, revamped and better than ever! Laureamko Otaniemi proudly presents: Amazing Race 2026 Wappu Edition!
Now it’s time to bring your team spirit into play and make the most of everyone’s strengths, because the fastest event of the year is just around the corner. The event follows the well-known TV format, where competitors get to explore downtown Helsinki while completing various active and puzzle-based challenges. In the race, teams compete against the clock, and the team that completes the checkpoints the fastest will be rewarded! Can you solve the clues that will lead you to the right checkpoint?

15. Karaoke-etkot appro
Can’t wait for the upcoming Vappu and the Karaoke Appro event later this autumn? We’ve got the perfect solution! On April 29, the springtime streets of Kallio will echo with karaoke as we host a Karaoke Appro pre-party event. Gather your friends and your festive Vappu spirit, and come kick off the celebrations in Helsinki’s Kallio on April 29!
The starting point will be at Karhupuisto, where you’ll find the staff of Lare ry. The event begins at 16:00, with departures in staggered groups every 20 minutes. And so the night doesn’t end too early, the afterparty will be held at (TBA).
To complete the event, you need 8 stamps, and the route includes bars, food spots, karaoke venues, and activity checkpoints. The concept follows traditional Karaoke Appro events: some of the stamps must be earned by singing karaoke. So, weekend rockstar, get ready with your favorite song!
Drinks and snacks will of course be student-budget friendly.
And everyone knows – pre-parties are always the most fun! So join us for the wildest pre-party of the year!

17. KAIVARIN WAPPU!
The festivities start at 10:00 a.m.! Pick up your stamp and badges by 5:00 p.m. at the latest!
You can claim your student union’s Wappu overalls badge on-site when you return your passport to your student union’s tent. Note: You’ll also get one stamp just for showing up. Anyone who manages to fill up their passport will be rewarded on-site with a special overalls badge. Plus, of course, fame and glory!
