Membership and student card
Become a member of Laureamko and enjoy your time as a student! After joining, you can download the Slice app for yourself, which works as a mobile student card. NOTE! Transferring data takes at least half an hour, even more during rush hour. If after this the Slice app doesn’t work, you should contact us, e.g. via chat.

You can buy membership in our online store!
- Go to buy the correct membership from here.
- Select membership period. Membership can be bought for one semester up to 4 years.
- Log in to the web store with your Facebook account or with previously created Kide.app account. If you haven’t made an account yet, you can create one by clicking “Create an account”.
- Select the wanted membership period and fill out the application form.
- After filling out the application form you can go and pay the membership that you have selected. Before the payment you can also continue shopping in the web store and get other products such as coverall patches or tickets to the next student event at the same time.
- After 1 to 3 working days after joining us, you can order your activation code to Slice at slice.fi/upload.
- Use the same info as in member register. When information matches, you can send the form.
- Fill the form and choose the picture carefully. Information you give will be displayed on your student card and can’t be changed afterwards.
- NOTE! If you are ordering password on the same day you bought your membership, it’s possible that information haven’t yet transferred between register and Slice doesn’t recognize you as a student. Try again next day and if the problem continues, contact laureamko[at]laureamko.fi.
- Slice will send you an e-mail with your activation code.
- It may take couple of days for the e-mail to arrive.
- Remember to check your spam folder.
- Download Slice app to your mobilephone from app store.
- Sign in the app.
- Remember to give the app all permissions it asks to activate your student card.
- Enjoy student discounts and benefits with Slice!

If you notice mistakes in your information, you can easily update your application form afterwards.

- Using it is very easy: Log on and scroll the page down and you will find your own member information. Click the pencil next to the membership and there you can edit the information.

Renewing your membership
Membership is renewed from Laureamko’s online store. Membership periods always end on 31.1. and 30.9. The best way to ensure that the benefits and the student card work is to renew the membership before the end of the season. By purchasing a multi-year membership, you don’t have to worry about the membership not being valid. If you need a sticker for your plastic student card, contact laureamko@laureamko. If something worries you, feel free to contact us in the chat or send our expert Riku a message.
If you have renewed your membership in the fall of 2018 or after and you notice errors in your information, you can edit your information yourself in the online store.
- You can get added information through the Kide.app service at: https://kide.app/account
- Adding information is easy: Log in and open your wallet, then go to the memberships tab and select Laureamko membership. Open the member information form and press the “edit” button at the bottom of the page. NOTE! Be careful that you change the name to your own membership information, not your own information! If you go to the edit view via a different way than via the pen that appears next to the membership, you are editing other information.

Tips
- Did the app manage to log you out? Resetting credentials helps! Go to slice.fi/resetoi and follow the instructions on the page, and you will get the new credentials.
- Do you need to update the image selected in Slice? This can be done at slice.fi/update.
- You can check the length of your membership period on the Kide.app wallet memberships tab If you have purchased a longer membership,
- Slice will automatically update it to the new season, even though the application states that the end date is 31.1. or 30.9.
Transfer of membership and refund of membership fee
Transfer of Laureamko’s membership
Student union membership periods can be postponed if the member is absent. The transfer of membership periods can be requested in writing at [email protected]. The transfer of membership periods must be applied for in advance (no later than 31 July for the autumn semester and no later than 31 December for the spring semester) and the periods must not be transferred retroactively. The reason for the transfer is absence from studies. For other criteria, the Board decides on the transfer on a case-by-case basis.
Refund of Laureamko’s membership fee
You can resign from the student body at any time by notifying us in writing to [email protected].
The membership fee will not be refunded if the conditions of membership are still met. Unused membership fees can only be refunded if the student has resigned from Laurea University of Applied Sciences or graduated. A refund of the membership fee can be requested in writing at [email protected]. The membership fees are not retrospectively refunded.
The student union charges a handling fee of five euros for all refunds. The membership fee refund is calculated according to the membership and other fees for each year. If the student so wishes, a calculation of the formation of the membership fee refund will be provided to the student. Payments of less than 5 euros are non-refundable.
Slice – your student card
One of the greatest things in student life – student card! Get it now and enjoy all the benefits!
The Slice app is loaded into a mobile phone and so the student card always stays handily with you. With the Slice student card you can use the student discounts of the National Railway Company of Finland, Matkahuolto and in campus restaurants for the student priced food.
In addition to the student card, a whole group of student discounts and benefits are found in Slice to the members of Laureamko. The benefits are constant discounts and restricted advantages that can be used only once. For example Anton&Anton offers -10 % on all products and as a restricted benefit they give two soup lunches in the price of one for every member.
You can use Slice easily. When you have renewed your membership in our web shop, you can order your password to Slice with e-form. After filling the form you’ll get your password via e-mail. Use it when you are registering to the app. Remember to accept the conditions asked by the application and to give the licences which are needed for the operation of the student card.
