The most important and biggest party of the student year is here again! At last, it’s time to dig out the overalls, straighten up and get ready to celebrate wappu with Laureamko. There will be plenty of fun event’s for every taste.
Was it the last time you felt like Wappu ended too soon? Don’t worry, this year Laureamko will celebrate wappu for 16 whole days! Check out the event offer and come and celebrate the student party of your life together with Laureamko and other students.
Psst! This year, Laureamko has hot two partners to celebrate Wappu, so it’s worth checking out the event section carefully!
Laureamko’s Wappu in a nutshell:
May Day is said to be a significant celebration for students, and anticipation is always good. For students, the May Day celebration starts well in advance in April and doesn’t end until May 1.
It is a tradition to go around several events during Wappu and collect stamps as proof of participation.
By completing a certain number of events, you will receive an official Laureamko badge, depending on how many years the participant has completed.
3AMK Wappupassi instructions
– Vappupass can be purchased from kide.app
– Member and non-member versions of the pass are on sale, as well as a VIP pass that allows Helga and Laureamko’s overalls to the event for free!
– You can pick up your Vappu pass from Laureamko’s campus offices on 10 April. forward and from Laureamko wappu events for an unused Kide.app ticket.
– You can get a stamp for all the May Day events of Helga, Laureamko and METKA in your May Day Pass.
– You get one stamp in your passport from the event
– The May Day pass is stamped at events during the ticket inspection
– If the performer participates in two events during the same day, she/he has the right to get stamps from both events.
– Getting a Wappu pass pass does not guarantee a ticket to May Day events.
– With the Wappu pass, the user can get tickets at a cheaper price
– By collecting six (6) stamps you get a special achievement badge and by collecting twelve (12) stamps you get a special Wappu diploma badge! (for the first 100)
– The badge can be redeemed on May Day (May 1st) at the Laureamko tent in Kaivarin Wappu event.
– If the performer has lost her/his May Day pass or you have not received a stamp from the event for an unknown reason, the student must be in contact with her/his own student union.
– Basically, a lost passport will not be replaced, so keep it safe during Wapu’s excursions <3
– You can also participate in Wappu events without a pass, Laureamko’s Wappu is aimed at all Laurea students <3

1. Check out the event offer and buy your tickets on Kide.App
2. Take your Wappupassi with you to every event
3. In the event (incl. Metka and Helga’s Wappu events) you will get ONE (1) stamp in your Wappupassi
4. Collect six (6) stamps in your passport and earn your annual achievement badge
5. Redeem your overall badge against your Wappupassi at Kaivarin Wappu (1.5.) Kaivopuisto from Laureamko tent
Wappu diploma badge:
collect 12 stamps and claim a unique wappu diploma badge. (fo the first 100)
NOTE!
Although Wapu is buzzing and bustling, remember to keep your Wappupassi SAFE and ALWAYS WITH you when you arrive at the event!

1. SpringLOB
LOB Student Cruise – Spring 2023
Once again winter is slowly over and it’s time for the May Day and many different student events to raise their heads as the weather warms up, so it’s also time to head to the waves of the Baltic Sea towards to Stockholm and back in the name of a student cruise! We welcome all students and student-minded people regardless of are you studying or not. The theme for the LOB Spring 2023 is superheroes!
The age limit for the cruise is 18 years.
There will be a costume contest on the cruise, where the best dressed will be awarded so now is the perfect time to dig out your inner superhero and bring it out for everyone to see!

TICKET SALE AND REDEEMING THE TICKETS
One person buys a ticket for the entire cabin crew. The cabin can be bought for 2-4 people, but the cabin price is calculated for four people, so it is worth collecting the cabin full! You can initially buy a cabin for two people and complete the rest later through kide.app, however, by 13/03/2023. IF you want to fill in the information for the 3rd and 4th passenger later, please also fill their mandatory passenger details NOW with “-” since they can’t be added later on without some trace thay you want to add more people later.
Please note that if you buy a cabin for only two people, Tallink Silja may transfer the cabin persons to a two person cabin. Price includes the chosen cabin, 45€ worth of dinner money to be spent on any restaurant on the ship, overall patch to all passengers and LOB’s program with a toast. Hox! Only tickets purchased via LOB give you access to our cruise program!
Once you have purchased your ticket, we will get all the information through kide.app and when you arrive at the port you only need a ID with a picture! Though you share the same reservation, at the port everyone has to get their own cabins with their own ID.
If you need to change the passenger informations, you will be able to make the changes directly through the kide.app wallet until 13.03.2023 after which the change work will cost.
Please check the current requirements for the corona situation. TallinkSilja’s cancellation policy applies to the cruise. Please come to the port in time, at 3.30 pm the latest but the redeeming of the tickets starts at 2.00 pm!

4. Amazing Race 2023
The fastest event of the year is soon upon us and it’s your time to take action! The event loosely follows the TV format and our competing teams will race from one checkpoint to the next in the central Helsinki area. You and your team will compete against time and the fastest team to complete the course in the correct order will get the highest reward! Will your team solve the clues and find the checkpoints? There are hints for the locations but they do come with penalty minutes.
The evening continues at Baarikärpänen, where you can show your coolest moves and see the award ceremony for the race. There will be time to prepare for the afterparty after the race.
Are you ready? Here is your first clue to find the registration checkpoint: “Prepare for the race so amazing, find the narinkka for coat checking.”

5. LARE ry:n Skumppajooga
Neon lights dazzle and you can already hear the YMCA playing in the distance as you head towards Kaivopuisto and LARE ry’s Skumppayoga.
Lare ry is organizing traditional Wappu-event Bubbly yoga already for third time as a part of Laureamko’s Wappu! You can participate live in Kaivopuisto or from your own living room via Zoom! So tune your antennas towards the calming energy forces of our universe, dig up your neon colored yoga pants from the closet and prepare your Wappudrinks for the event!

7. Lennin Karkkipäivä 2023
At Lennis Candy Day, you make different May Day delicacies in your own home kitchen by following the virtual appro map and the recipe book. In addition to the food/beverage product to be made, each virtual execution site also reveals an alternative execution possibility. If you’re not interested in making hot dogs right now, you can focus on a beautiful presentation or a May Day mood, for example.
The recipe book will be published on 7.4.
7.4.-23.4. you can make the contents of te recipe book in your home. Remember to photograph what you make! You need to make 2 things from every category (salty, sweet, drinks). The event itself opens in a Seppo.io game on 23.4. and then you can send your photos through the game map. The link to the game platform will be added to the kide.app ticket.
You can get your patch in other Wappu events or you can buy the mailing option.

10. Laureamko x Helga: Haalarinkastajaiset
Get your coveralls on and get them officially ritualized through checkpoints and official coverall oath. Then you will receive the official Coverall Baptism patch that will serve you during the whole student life.
Coverall Baptism is an event in which your coveralls are put to test, you’ll learn the official Coverall etiquette, pledge an coverall oath and raise a toast.
You can come to the baptism alone or with others! If you are bold and want to get to know new people, we bring together groups of one and two that can go around the checkpoints together.

Put on your overalls and come and have fun with your fellow students. Unleash extra energy on the eve of May Day and the next day in Kaivari you can take it easy with your friends on a picnic.

16. Kaivarin Wappu
Delivering Wappu to you
Helsingin Seniorisäätiö sr is a non-profit foundation providing care services for the elderly. In the five service homes of the foundation, safe and individual needs-based round-the-clock care is offered to elderly people in Helsinki. Depending on the home, long-term, short-term, psychogeriatric and palliative care. All service homes are located in Helsinki. Antinkoti in Tapaninvainio, Mariankoti and Pikku-Maria in Pohjois Haaga, Kannelkoti in Kannelmäki and Pakilakoti in Länsi-Pakila. A total of more than 500 residents live in the foundation’s service homes. The Seniorisäätiö is a subsidiary of the Helsinki City Group, which does not engage in business, but any operating income is used for the development of high-quality activities. The foundation negotiates annually with the hospital, care and rehabilitation department of the City of Helsinki’s Sote office about the quantity, quality and prices of services for the elderly.
